The bird of paradise or

level to mid-mountain forest.
Cendrawasih, the birds of
paradise have a various type and size. From the king of bird paradise

diets.
Cendrawasih is omnivore.
Although its diet is dominated by fruit and small amount of nectar, small
arthropods like bug, cricket, spider, centipede, and other insect may also be
taken. The ratio of two diet types is according to its species, some will eat
more fruits than insects and others will eat more insects than fruits. This ratio will affect to the other behavior
of this bird too, for example the insectivores often have lonely and solitary
live, while the frugivores often live together and more socialable.
The male cendrawasih usually
have more stunning plumage than the female. They have black, red, orange,
yellow, white, blue, green, and purple plumage. The beauty of the colorful
plumage is often used to draw attention of the female and ritualized mating
dances.

species, but monogamous in monomorphic species. Hybridisation is frequent in
these birds. Many hybrids have been described as new species.
Females lay eggs in different
amount, depending on it species. For many species, it is almost just 1 egg, but
smaller species of cendrawasih may produce 2-3 eggs Eggs hatch after 16-22
days, then the young try to fly alone and leave the nest between 16-30 days of
ages.
Because
of the Birds unique and stunning colors, they have been hunted for centuries,
their plumage used for women’s fashionwear, decoration, and supposed mystical
powers. There was once a myth that the birds had
come from the gods and never touched the earth, and this myth only served to
accentuate the value of the birds until their plumage were in such demand that
the species nearly reached extinction. Birds of
Paradise are currently listed as endangered species, but this has not stopped
the illegal trade and export of the birds on the black market
